Villa Saam

Samujana Villa 3 is a four-bedroom home with a softer, more tropical character than many of its neighbours, blending clean modern lines with rough stone walls, carved timber doors and gardens full of palms and bougainvillea. It sits close to Choeng Mon Beach on Samui’s north-east corner, with views across the bay and the hills, and you arrive along a stone path over still water that sets a calm, Zen-like tone from the first step.

Outside, a slim twenty-metre infinity pool runs the length of the house, framed by timber decking and sun loungers, with the bay stretching out beyond. A stone-pillared pergola draped in bougainvillea shelters a shaded seating area, there is outdoor dining by the pool, and a rooftop lounge adds one more place to watch the evening light. After dark the pool glows beneath the house, which looks especially lovely from the terrace.

Inside, a bright living room opens through tall glass to the pool and the sea, flowing into a dining area and a state-of-the-art kitchen. A separate media room, a private gym looking onto the garden and a villa manager on hand round it off. The four king bedrooms spread over two floors, each with its own bathroom; most have round free-standing tubs by the window, and the master has a private deck facing the sea.
