Villa Anahit

Villa Anahit’s infinity pool seems to pour straight off the cliff into the Indian Ocean. Set high on the clifftops of Uluwatu within the Karang Saujana Estate, this four-bedroom villa is arranged so that almost every space looks out to the horizon, and at sunset the water, sky and pool all turn the same shade of rose and gold.

Arrival is gentle: a path past goldfish ponds and water lilies leads into a house where soaring timber roofs meet marble floors, chandeliers and traditional artwork. The air-conditioned living room opens through glass doors onto the pool terrace, a ten-seat timber dining table stands beneath a vaulted ceiling, and a spacious European-style kitchen with an island sits close by. Outside, sun loungers line the pool and a covered terrace with a deep L-shaped sofa makes the perfect place to watch the ocean, while a separate air-conditioned media lounge offers a cool retreat for film nights.

The master suite upstairs has its own ocean view, a walk-in wardrobe and a marble bathroom with a bathtub. A butler, daily housekeeping and garden and pool staff look after the villa, with breakfast included each day. Uluwatu Temple and beaches such as Padang Padang, Nyang Nyang, Green Bowl and Pandawa are all a short drive away, and the airport is around 30 minutes by car.
