Villa Kulibul
Why We Recommend Villa Kulibul
Villa Kulibul is a crisp, sunlit hideaway in Canggu, all white walls, warm teak and woven rattan lanterns, set back from the busy roads in a quiet pocket that still keeps the cafés, rice fields and surf of Bali’s west coast within easy reach. It is a small, smartly designed home of around 150 square metres, sized for three couples, a family or a group of friends who want something stylish without the fuss of a sprawling estate.
A slim turquoise pool runs the length of the villa, lined with tropical planting and overlooked by tall timber doors, so the water is never more than a few steps away. Inside, a sunken lounge with deep teal cushions sits at the heart of the open-plan living space, flowing into a round dining table and a bright kitchen with a concrete island and bar stools. Up on the roof, a sun terrace adds loungers, a shaded daybed lounge and a wooden ice-bath tub for a post-surf cold plunge.
The three bedrooms each have a king bed, air conditioning and their own bathroom with stone basins and walk-in showers, and the décor mixes natural textures with soft neutral tones. Daily housekeeping and a villa manager look after the details, and breakfast, a private chef, massages or a floating breakfast in the pool can be arranged. Echo Beach, with its surf breaks and sunsets, is a short drive away.
