Villa Mūna

Villa Mūna is warmer than most new Bukit villas, and the reason is the ceiling — timber boards run unbroken across the whole upper plane, dropping the light to a soft amber and pulling the eye out through the glass to the palms. Against it, a rough stacked-stone wall runs the length of the living room, so the two dominant surfaces are both natural and both textured.

The living room steps down to a low sofa facing the pool, which runs the length of the courtyard between planted borders and lights up green after dark. Glass slides away along the whole side. A pale island kitchen with timber stools sits behind, with a dining table beside it under woven pendants, and an open-tread stair climbs to the upper level.

The bedroom is set behind the stone wall with the same timber ceiling above and glass onto the greenery, and its bathroom is finished in pale stone with a timber vanity. Mūna sits within the Blacksand Villas enclave in Bingin, minutes from the beach clubs, cafés and the surf, and it is very obviously built with honeymooners in mind.
