Villa Nalina
Why We Recommend Villa Nalina
Water is the thread that runs through Villa Nalina. Laid out along Feng Shui lines, the house is wrapped almost entirely by koi ponds, so stepping stones carry you between pavilions and the soft sound of moving water follows you from room to room. Tucked down a quiet lane one street back from the sand, it feels secluded and calm, yet Seminyak’s beach and the Petitenget strip are only a few minutes away on foot.
At its heart is a long twenty-metre pool framed by lawn, frangipani and tall palms, with a shallow end that suits younger swimmers and sunbeds lined up for slow afternoons. The main pavilion, under a soaring thatched roof with dark timber floors, opens on both sides to the garden, joining a generous lounge and a formal dining table. A sunken outdoor lounge and a small traditional gazebo give everyone somewhere shady to drift off with a book.
All four bedrooms are designed as suites, each with its own sitting area, desk and bookshelves, and bathrooms with deep tubs, several opening onto private garden courtyards with outdoor showers. A spa room means massages without leaving home, breakfast is prepared each morning, and the attentive team keeps the house running smoothly. From here it is an easy stroll to the beach for sunset, Pura Petitenget and the restaurants of Eat Street.
