NicoNico Mansion

NicoNico Mansion is one of the most original homes in Seminyak, a seven-bedroom house hidden down a quiet lane in Petitenget that feels like staying inside a designer’s private museum. Vintage curiosities, antiques, chandeliers and walls of framed photographs meet industrial steel, pop art and colonial furniture, and the result is witty, warm and quite unlike anywhere else. The beach, Potato Head and the restaurants of Petitenget are all within walking distance.

Outside, a twelve-metre pool runs alongside a sprawling lawn of around a thousand square metres, with sunloungers, a hammock strung between the palms, a swing seat and a garden gazebo where spa therapists can set up treatments. The double-height living pavilion has deep leather sofas, a long teak dining table and a kitchen counter with quirky seats including a swing, a horse saddle and a bicycle, while ping-pong and foosball sit downstairs and a billiard table upstairs. A rooftop lounge and the lawn double as spaces for yoga.

Each of the seven king bedrooms has its own theme, from Japanese and Chinese to Pop Art, Colonial and an all-black room, plus a bright white rooftop suite, and every one has its own ensuite with a rain shower. A villa manager, three housekeepers and night security look after the house, breakfast is included, floating breakfasts and barbecue dinners can be arranged, and an arrival airport transfer is included.
