Villa Nuju

Villa Nuju is a one-bedroom villa for two people, and it is refreshingly unapologetic about that. There is no spare room, no sofa bed, no pretending it could take a family at a push. What there is instead is a whole villa’s worth of space given over to a couple: a private plunge pool, a full open-plan living floor, and a single bedroom that gets the best of the light.

The living level is bright and almost Scandinavian in its restraint — white walls, pale floors, blond timber joinery and a rattan pendant over a round dining table. A deep sofa faces glass doors that fold back to the terrace, and the kitchen runs along one wall with open shelving and everything you would want for a long slow breakfast. Being raised, it catches the breeze and looks out over the palms rather than a wall.

The bedroom sits behind, with a balcony of its own and a bathroom in warm stone and timber with a walk-in rain shower. Outside, the plunge pool is tucked into a planted courtyard, private on all sides. Bingin’s surf breaks, cliff cafés and sunset warungs are minutes away — close enough to walk to dinner, far enough that the villa stays quiet.
