Villa Ressource

From above, Villa Ressource is a cluster of steep thatched roofs and white walls sunk into a sea of palms, with a long infinity pool pointing out over rice paddies and forest. This six-bedroom villa sits on private grounds edged by paddy fields, jungle and a small river, around fifteen minutes from central Ubud, and it was clearly built to make the most of that green, wraparound view.

The pool deck is the place to start each day: a wide timber sun terrace with cushioned loungers and parasols, and water that seems to spill straight into the valley. Inside, the open-plan living room pairs long built-in sofas with a chunky timber coffee table under high thatched ceilings, while a long dining table and a breakfast bar look onto the garden from the fully equipped kitchen. Balconies, patios and a rooftop terrace give everyone a quiet corner, and a yoga shala beside the river adds a restorative note.

No two bedrooms are alike: one has a canopy bed and deep blue walls opening to treetop views, others play with teal, terracotta and brick-red feature walls, patterned tiles and carved screens. Many open onto a private terrace or veranda over the fields. It suits multi-generational families and friends who want space, calm and easy day trips to Goa Gajah, Samuan Tiga Temple and Ubud’s markets.
