Villa The Ridge Three

Villa The Ridge Three sits high on the hillside above Bangrak, in a small, secure estate of eight contemporary villas, with one of the widest views on this stretch of Samui’s north coast. From the terrace the island rolls away in shades of green to the sea, with the hills of Koh Phangan rising across the water. Inside and out it is fresh and breezy, decorated in ocean blues and crisp whites, and it was clearly made with families in mind.

A curving infinity pool wraps around the terrace, with loungers along its edge and a cushioned outdoor lounge set into the planting beside it. It is the kind of pool children never want to leave, and the kind of view adults never tire of, from bright mornings to sunsets that turn the whole bay gold. Upper balconies with wicker chairs give everyone their own quiet corner over the hills.

The open-plan living room, with a big blue sofa, a long timber dining table and a modern kitchen with a breakfast counter, opens through sliding glass onto the pool deck. Three king bedrooms each have their own bathroom, and the master suite has floor-to-ceiling windows and a freestanding bathtub, while a fourth room with bunk beds is made for children. Breakfast is included, the villa is cleaned daily, and Big Buddha and Fisherman’s Village are a short drive away.
