Villa Mandali Ubud

Villa Mandali is Ubud done the contemporary way. Arched windows, pale stone and warm timber slats rise over three levels above a long turquoise pool, and from almost every room the view drifts out across palm trees and rice fields. It is fresh, light and quietly glamorous, yet still feels rooted in Bali, with woven pendant lights, carved artwork and tropical planting softening the clean modern lines.

The pool deck is lined with blue-cushioned loungers and big umbrellas, and the open dining pavilion beside it seats the whole group at a long timber table under a slatted bamboo ceiling. Inside, a bright living room with a deep sofa sits alongside a sleek kitchen with a long stone island, while a floating timber staircase leads up to more surprises: a rooftop lounge with a sunken-style sofa looking over the greenery, a glass-walled gym with rice-field views, a home cinema, and a raised gazebo with a jacuzzi for soaking at sunset.

All six bedrooms have king-size beds, air conditioning and en-suite bathrooms, many with arched glass doors framing the garden and a few with smart TVs. Bathrooms are spa-like, with freestanding tubs set among plants, natural stone and double vanities in some rooms, and a dedicated spa room with bathtubs and massage beds makes pampering easy. Breakfast is included daily, with a villa manager and housekeeping team on hand throughout.
